John Zeaman has been writing about art, design and the natural world for 35 years. He has reviewed hundreds of New York City museum and gallery shows for area newspapers and magazines. His column, “A World by Design,” about the aesthetics of nature and the everyday world, received three awards from the Manhattan-based Society of Silurians, the nation’s oldest press club. He has won numerous other national and local awards and been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
He is the author of a memoir, Dog Walks Man, and seven non-fiction books for children. His most recent work is a children’s novel, “The Unclever Fox,” illustrated by his daughter, Claire.
Zeaman lives in Leonia, New Jersey and Penobscot, Maine with his wife, Janet. They have two grown children.
